Pullets are young female chickens who have not yet started to lay eggs.  It takes 26 weeks for most breeds to start laying eggs.

For many people, purchasing pullets is a time saver.  Not everyone has the time, room or patience to raise chickens from eggs.  Purchasing chicks cuts down on some of the effort, but 50% of the chicks will be roosters in a straight-run set of chicks.

Purchasing pullets can be a great way to add some special birds to the flock, or to boost your egg production with fresh birds.

We will periodically have pullets available for sale.  The cost per bird  is a reflection of the time and effort it takes to raise a bird for egg production.  Custom hatches to obtain pullets of specific breeds we carry can be negotiated.
